Question 1

What is the difference between Standard and Premium Ceramic Restoration?

Accepted Answer

Both services include a complete headlight restoration designed to remove oxidation, yellowing, and haze and restore clarity to the lenses. Our Standard Headlight Restoration starts at $120 and includes UV protection backed by a 1-year B.E. Headlight Restoration warranty. Our Premium Ceramic Restoration starts at $160 and includes professional Ceramic UV Protection for enhanced long-term protection, backed by a 3-year B.E. Headlight Restoration warranty. For customers looking for maximum protection and longevity, the Premium Ceramic Restoration provides the highest level of protection we offer.

Question 2

How long does headlight restoration take?

Accepted Answer

A typical headlight restoration takes about one hour. The exact time can vary depending on the condition of the headlights, the severity of oxidation or damage, and the amount of preparation required. Heavily oxidized, pitted, or damaged headlights may take longer. We take the time needed to properly restore the lenses rather than rushing the process.

Question 3

Can I drive the vehicle after restoration?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can drive your vehicle after the restoration is completed. However, the protective coating will still be curing. For the first 24 hours, the restored headlights must remain completely dry and should not be touched or wiped. Avoid rain, sprinklers, or anything else that could get the lenses wet during this initial curing period. Do not wash the vehicle for at least 48 hours after restoration.

Question 4

How should I care for my headlights immediately after restoration?

Accepted Answer

For the first 24 hours, keep the restored headlights completely dry. Do not touch, wipe, clean, or apply any products to the coated lenses during this initial curing period. Avoid rain, sprinklers, or other sources of water during the first 24 hours. Do not wash the vehicle for at least 48 hours after restoration. The protective coating will continue to fully cure over the next several days, so simply leave the headlights alone and allow the coating to cure naturally.

Question 5

How long does the coating take to cure?

Accepted Answer

The most important curing period is the first 24 hours. During this time, the restored headlights must remain completely dry and should not be touched or wiped. Do not wash the vehicle for at least 48 hours. The protective coating will continue curing and hardening over the next several days.

Question 6

When can I wash my car after headlight restoration?

Accepted Answer

Please wait at least 48 hours before washing your vehicle after your headlight restoration. This includes automatic car washes, hand washing, and pressure washing. During the first 24 hours, the restored headlights must remain completely dry. After the initial 48-hour period, normal vehicle washing can resume.

Question 7

Do you come to my home or workplace?

Accepted Answer

Yes. B.E. Headlight Restoration is a mobile service. We can restore your headlights at your home, workplace, or another suitable location within our service area. We simply need a safe and suitable area to work around the front of the vehicle. Because the protective coating is best applied to a cool headlight and out of direct sunlight whenever possible, a shaded work area is helpful when available.

Question 8

What areas do you service?

Accepted Answer

We provide mobile headlight restoration throughout Irvine, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and surrounding Orange County communities. Not sure if you are within our service area? Call or text (714) 643-2303 with your location and we’ll let you know.

Question 9

How can I get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Getting a quote is easy. Call or text (714) 643-2303 and send us a few clear photos of your headlights. We’ll review the condition of the lenses and provide a free quote. Your price will be confirmed before any work begins, so you’ll know the cost before we start.

Question 10

Why does pricing start at $120?

Accepted Answer

Every vehicle and headlight is a little different. Headlight size, design, accessibility, severity of oxidation, pitting, and overall condition can affect the amount of preparation and restoration required. Standard Headlight Restoration starts at $120 and Premium Ceramic Restoration starts at $160. We’ll confirm your exact price before beginning any work.

Question 11

What does the warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

B.E. Headlight Restoration backs our Standard Headlight Restoration with a 1-year limited warranty and our Premium Ceramic Restoration with a 3-year limited warranty. The warranty covers premature return of yellowing or oxidation resulting from failure of the protective coating under normal use and care. The warranty does not cover physical damage to the headlight, cracks, chips, scratches, impacts, accidents, internal headlight damage or condensation, damage caused by chemicals or abrasive cleaners, modifications, or damage caused by improper care. Customers should follow the aftercare instructions provided at the time of service, including keeping the headlights dry for the first 24 hours and avoiding vehicle washing for at least 48 hours.
